St Theobald of Roggerio was born in Piedmont, Italy in 1170. He spent his life traveling and looking after people when they were ill and carrying loads for those who were too weak to handle them. He is the patron saint of Hospital Porters and his feast day is June the 1st.
We had a party on Friday night at the hospital social club and nearly every off-duty porter turned up! I know St Theo's Day is today, but we thought a Friday would be better for partying than a Sunday. The party carried on at somebody's house and I got home about 5 in the morning!
St Theo is a great way of celebrating our professional identity and engendering prode and dignity in being porters. Nobody that night was hanging their heads, dropping their shoulders and saying: "Oh, no! I wish I wasn't only a porter! I wish I was a nurse!"

The St Theo's Day celebrations were jointly hosted by the Provisional JRHPC: http://hpanwo.blogspot.com/2007/09/copy-of-my-jrhpc-letter.html

It can't work as a matter of fact, that's exactly what I consider.
So, I do not really suppose this is likely to work.

I've been doing some research into this. Teoboldo Roggeri was only Beatified not canonized by Pope Gregory XVI in 1841. So, therefore, how can he be the patron saint of porters? I think you need to get your facts right, Mr Jones.
